South Tyrol boasts nine golf clubs, each as unique as the region’s landscapes. From relatively flat courses in the valley to high-altitude Alpine challenges, all share spectacular mountain vistas, meticulous design, and flawless maintenance. Two golf clubs are located in Appiano, just a few kilometres from St. Justina Hof.
Golfclub Appiano
This relatively new 9-hole course in Appiano gets its nickname from the many water hazards that add variety to the game while enhancing the scenery. Flat and beautifully situated amidst apple orchards, it’s also beginner-friendly and open from mid-February to mid-November.
Golf Club Schloss Freudenstein
Located above San Michele on the grounds of the Freudenstein Castle estate, this practice course features four fairways, 16 tee stations, a driving range, a pitching area, and a putting green. A professional golf instructor is available to help you get started in this fascinating sport.
